Move-in day gets easier
Every Dormi bed is installed before move-in and removed after move-out, in windows you set. Nothing comes through the lobby on move-in day, and nothing ends up in your dumpsters in May.
For Residence Life and Housing
Dormi delivers, installs, and removes premium rental beds for students who want one. Families pay. Your team lifts nothing. And 5% of every dollar goes back to Residence Life.

Why Residence Life teams say yes
Every Dormi bed is installed before move-in and removed after move-out, in windows you set. Nothing comes through the lobby on move-in day, and nothing ends up in your dumpsters in May.
Students on a Dormi bed sleep 59 minutes longer per night than they did on a standard mattress and topper. 95% say they sleep significantly better. Rested students show up differently in your halls.
The partnership is free to the university, and Dormi returns 5% of campus revenue to Residence Life each year. Put it toward RA training, hall programming, or wherever your budget needs it.
Sleep figures come from Dormi's own study comparing the same students on their standard mattress and topper versus a Dormi bed.

The bed itself: a full hotel-grade mattress, not a topper. Every one is sealed in a fresh encasement before it enters your building.
How it works
Families order, we install, we remove.

Students and parents reserve a bed on dormibeds.com over the summer. Nothing runs through your office.

Our crew puts every bed in place, encased and made, before students arrive. The school mattress goes into storage we arrange.

Students leave the bed behind. We collect it, put your mattress back on the frame, and the room is ready for next year.

The case for the room
Students spend about a third of their time on campus in bed. A comfortable room is a reason to live on campus, and a reason to come back next year.
Dormi gives your halls a hotel-grade option at no cost to you. Students who sleep well in your buildings choose them again.
The bonus, by the numbers
Enter your on-campus bed count. We estimate how many students opt in, how much floor space your stored school mattresses need, and what comes back to Residence Life.
Your total on-campus beds.
963 to 1,444 sq ft
About the size of 6 to 9 parking spaces. No space? Dormi pays for off-site storage.

The questions we always get
These are the concerns directors raise most often. If yours is not here, ask us on the call.
Nothing. There is no fee, no minimum, and no purchase order. Families who want a Dormi bed rent one directly from us. The money flows the other way: Dormi pays 5% of campus revenue back to Residence Life every year.
Most students buy a foam topper for the school mattress, then throw it away in May. Dormi replaces that cycle with a full hotel-style mattress that is delivered, encased, and made before they arrive. It is an upgrade some families choose, not a replacement for what you provide. The school's own mattress stays the school's, and we coordinate with your team on where it lives during the year.
We store them and bring them back. If you have storage on campus, we use it. If you do not, Dormi pays for off-site storage and handles transport both ways. Your mattress goes back on the frame at move-out.
Stored upright, each mattress takes under two square feet of floor. The calculator above shows the footprint for your campus.
Across a full year it is roughly one planning meeting and two building-access windows. Beds are installed before students arrive, in a window you approve, so on move-in day there is nothing to carry, nothing in the elevator, and nothing for RAs to manage. At move-out, students leave the bed in the room and we collect it afterward, so no foam ends up in your dumpsters.
Orders, billing, parent questions, and room changes all run through Dormi's support team and the My Dormi customer portal, not your office. Holy Cross has run this way for five years.
We match whatever your halls use: twin, twin XL, full, and other sizes. Our standard mattress is 14 inches tall.
Guardrail clearance matters on lofted and bunked beds, so during setup we review your bed configurations and guardrail heights with your facilities team and agree on which rooms are eligible before anything is ordered.
Every mattress is sealed before it enters your building. Each bed gets a brand-new, tamper-proof encasement that is bedbug-proof, waterproof, stain-proof, and hypoallergenic, plus a mattress protector on top. The encasement is replaced every year, so no student sleeps on a surface another student has touched.
At the end of each year every mattress is cleaned, inspected, and re-encased before it is redeployed. Every mattress meets federal mattress flammability standards and is made with UL GREENGUARD Gold certified materials. We are happy to walk your facilities or risk team through the specifications and our insurance documentation before you commit.
Dormi is an opt-in choice, priced close to what families already spend on toppers and bedding over four years, and it is never required or implied as required. The 5% returned to Residence Life is unrestricted; some partners put part of it toward programming that reaches every resident, and you are free to direct it toward access initiatives if that matters to your campus.

From your residents and their families
"The mattress was already in my daughter's room on move-in day, ready to go. No fooling around with mattress toppers or covers. Just put the sheets on and the room already felt homey. She raves about it so much that when she came home for the weekend she complained about the mattress at home."
"The sleep I got this semester with a Dormi bed was much better than any I had last semester. I woke up most days not feeling tired at all. The beds are extremely comfortable and do not even require a mattress topper."
"My daughter loved her Dormi mattress. When she came home for break she told me she missed her bed at school. As a parent I loved that I didn't need to buy a mattress topper or lug it to her dorm and home. It was in her room when we arrived and picked up after we moved out."
